Great talk with the owner of this cool car! Only 5 were made originally…this is a reproduction, but it has evidently been around. I saw it before at Old Town, this has had astronauts riding in it, and the signatures on the glove box door are designers of the Corvette and famous car guys, like Dennis Gage. Just the look of this car is exciting…an amazing addition to any car show!

This car was built for Pope John XXIII’s visit to Chicago. The Pope died shortly after it was built and the car was turned over to a bunch of Nuns in Kentucky who used it for a few years and then parked in a barn to rot away. The engine is a V10 from a 1996 Ram Truck, the tranny is a Viper 6 speed, the rear is the original Dart and the front suspension and breaks are from a Corvette
